Large, steep bedrock glade to north has stunted juniper, phlox, verbascum, but probably no Talinum. Rich oak hickory forests on soil have yellow oak scattered throughout.;Steep, flaking bedrock outcrop on ridge spur in canyon overlooking river. Rock looks like limestone, but is mapped otherwise. Community is a stunted woodland dominated by ancient junipers with smaller chinquapin oak and walnut. Ground flora includes many dry-site calciphiles. Soil is alkaline. Rock fizzes with acid test.
